Flowing Dharma is a non-profit, publicly-funded, 501(c)3 organization whose work is guided by a board of directors. Our commitment is to serve the Dharma while cultivating lovingkindness, compassion and generosity. We have taken on a number of exciting and rewarding projects in our history and will continue to support the larger Buddhist community in the Tampa Bay area.

For many years now, Flowing Dharma has brought qualified meditation teachers from across the country into the Tampa Bay area to share their energy and understanding of the Dharma with our community in residential and non-residential retreats from one to ten days in length.

Currently, two of our officers are serving in the U.S. Peace Corps in Swaziland, Afirca so we find that we are offering retreats very infrequently. It is our hope that our organization will return to a more active status within the next few years. Sooner, perhaps if others step forward to support this effort. Until then, please support other area Buddhist groups by joining their sitting groups and attending their retreats. See our current schedule and list of local Buddhist groups

Organizational Goals:

• Share the Dharma through on-going classes and residential and nonresidential retreats.

Support local sangha establishment and growth.

Encourage community outreach efforts (e.g. provide financial and other support for Florida prison MBSR and non-denominational retreats.)

Future Goals and Projects

We have expanded our vision to include providing support for the teaching of "Non-Dual" Spiritual practices regardless of the culture or tradition, Buddhist or otherwise, that these teachings are drawn from.

We are now providing support for:

Big Mind video showings, sitting groups and workshops (see intro video).

Indigenous Non-DualTeachings. Recently, we supported Winaypaq, a free elementary school in the small village of Taray in Peru committed to preserving the non-dual practices of the Incas by teaching the local indigenous children these practices along with the usual math, Spanish, world history, etc. We hope to continue this type of work in the future when our obligations in Africa have been met or when other support materializes.
